Message From the Principal, Mrs. Todd
Happy New Year Mustangs!
We are so excited for everyone to get back on Monday! I sure hope that your family enjoyed a wonderful fun-filled break. It has been wonderful to relax, recharge, unplug and catch up a little, especially on sleep! I look forward to starting a new year with each of you. As a staff, we are ready to start off 2020 focused on learning, leading, and growing, together! Here’s to a great start to 2020. :)
Mustang Pride,

Duello 2020 Science Fair!
The Duello Elementary Science Fair will be held on Tuesday, February 18. Classes will be invited to view all projects on display throughout the week. The projects will be available to be picked up by parents on Friday, February 21st. (This is also PTA Bingo Night.) If your child would like to participate in the Science Fair, please click on the link and fill out the form below:
Here are some things you need to know:
- Projects should follow the guidelines in the attached booklet.
- Display boards are not going to be offered through the office this year. Display boards can only be purchased through the supply website at Science Fair Supply- link here! You will need the Small Display Boards (96cm top to bottom; 56cm left to right). Display boards purchased from other stores sometimes DO NOT meet guidelines.
- Please read through the attached Science Fair booklet to make sure your project will qualify.
- If your child advances to the Regionals, it will be held on March 7 at Francis Howell North High School. The Regional Science packet is attached for you to review.
If you have any questions, please contact STEAM night/ Science Fair coordinator:

Duello Has a Clothing Donation Box
As you begin to get rid of old items this season, we want to remind everyone of the clothing donation box located in our parking lot. We partner with USAgain. USAgain's mission is to extend the life of clothes, and shoes. The reuse enables them to help protect our environment by planting trees, preserving water, and clothing people in need. Through this partnership, a portion of their proceeds is donated directly to Duello to purchase books, technology, and other supplies that directly benefit our students. Please visit their website at https://www.usagain.com/idea-and-purpose to learn more.
New School Boundaries Approved by the Board of Education
The WSD is building a new high school and a new elementary school to meet the needs of our growing District. Part of that process included adjusting elementary, middle, and high school boundaries. The 2019 Boundary Committee met five times from May through November 2019 to develop new boundaries. On December 19, 2019, the Board of Education approved the boundaries recommended by the committee.
