What's Going On in the Library?

October 2017

Meet Famous Authors and Illustrators!

One of the most awesome events of the year is happening on Saturday, 10/14 at the Lincoln School in Providence. For just $5 per person, you can meet some of the most renowned children's authors and illustrators around. This flyer by my colleague Melanie Roy has details on the presenters and their work. A quick rundown of the ones Oak Lawn students would know best:

  • Marc Brown - author/illustrator of the Arthur Books
  • Kara LaReau - author of The Infamous Ratsos and Ugly Fish
  • Charise Mericle Harper - author of the Just Grace series and Go, Go, Go, Stop!
  • Ann M. Martin - author of the original Babysitters Club books and RICBA 2016 Nominee Rain Reign
  • John Scieszka - author of Knucklehead, The Stinky Cheese Man, and The True Story of the Three Little Pigs
  • Chris Van Allsburg - author/illustrator of Jumanji, The Polar Express, and The Z Was Zapped!

More information is at the Lincoln School web site.
