We are celebrating the character trait of DETERMINATION for the months of November and December. Congratulations to last week's Paws for PRIDE winners: Luke Fromal, Mrs. Silvers, Olivia Bradley, Corey Merz, Dylan Schwartz, Carmyn Swenson, Avni Kundan, and Jonathan Infantino.
These students and teachers were chosen at random to be recognized and celebrated for demonstrating one of our five character traits - Pride, Respect, Individual Responsibility, Determination & Empathy. Thank you to all of the Titus families for your support of our Paws for PRIDE program.

2017-2018 Kindergarten Registration
Kindergarten registration for the 2017-2018 school year began Monday, October 24, 2016. For more information and to register for Kindergarten for the 2017-2018 school year, please click here to visit our district page.
While we cannot make any guarantees, the earlier you register the better your chances of getting your preferred time - AM or PM. We do not entertain specific teacher requests.
And the Winner Is . . .
Congratulations to the Dabbing Ballers for winning the 2nd Annual 3rd and 4th grade Crazy Kickballin’ Kids Recess Tournament. They showed great sportsmanship and determination in a terrific come-from-behind win against Team 4 in the championship. Thank you to all of the participants this year for coming out and having fun with us during recess!”
Recess In? Recess Out? Both?
Below you will see the Child Care Weather Watch Chart that we use to determine whether students will have their full recess outdoors (green), 15 minutes in and 15 minutes out (yellow), or their full recess indoors (red).
Our hope is that by sharing this information with Titus parents, you will be able to help your children prepare for what recess will bring.

Spreading a Little Titus Cheer . . .
I just wanted to take this opportunity to send my sincerest thanks to the entire Titus Community for the outpouring of generosity benefitting the children of Tabor House again this year. In the true essence of the holiday spirit and giving back, we collected and wrapped over 400 gifts for the children, making it our most successful collection to date!
As we dropped off the gifts at Tabor House, I was told that because of our donations, we made it possible for almost every child that benefits from Tabor Children’s Services to receive a gift! I feel extremely grateful to be part of a community that goes above and beyond to help those less fortunate each and every year. One of my favorite quotes that I often repeat to myself is "Giving is not just about making a donation, it’s about making a difference." This holds so true for our community. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping to make that difference. The impact you are having on these children’s lives is immeasurable!

Save the Date - Night of Service: Sock Roll Challenge
Who? Titus students and families
What? A “Sock Roll” is a pair of men’s athletic /crew socks that is rolled with a granola bar and a pack of crackers and finished off with a ribbon and a tag from our students.
Where? Titus Elementary Dining Room
Why? Socks tend to be the number one requested item by individuals experiencing homelessness. This project brings warmth, some comfort and nourishment for those in need. This is also a wonderful opportunity to teach our children the importance of helping others and ‘giving back’ to our community.
When? Thursday, January 19th at 6:30 PM
In an effort to collect items before the January 19th event, we are asking your child/children to bring their items to school beginning, January 3, 2017. All donations will be dropped off in the rotunda
- Grades K – 2 will be collecting cheese crackers
- Grades 3 – 4 will be collecting granola bars
- Grades 5 – 6 will be collecting adult men’s crew socks
Any questions or if you would like to help out with this event. Please contact Mrs. Patty Van Zanten.Thank you for your support in this cause.
