Special Children's Event
Make a Haunted House!
Monday, September 30, 4 p.m., Harmony Library
Age Level: Ages 7 and up
Make your very own haunted house out of boxes with paint, glue, and other crafting supplies. Once completed, the houses will be displayed at the library for the month of October. Register online at glocesterlibraries.org beginning August 26 at 10 a.m.
Story Time Programs at Glocester Libraries
Online registration for Story Time programs begins Tuesday, September 3 for Glocester residents at 10 a.m. and Wednesday, September 4 for non-residents at 10 a.m. at glocesterlibraries.org.
The Story Time programs are designed to be weekly programs. Ideally, participants should be able to attend each week.
Baby Story Time (Ages: infant to 2 years): Thursdays at 10 a.m. Harmony Library
Caregivers and babies up to 2 years old, join us at the Harmony Library for stories, toys, songs, and finger plays. Begins September 19.
Toddler Time (ages 2 - 3 ½): Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m. HL and Fridays at 10:30 a.m. Glocester Manton Library
Caregivers and children, ages 2 to 3½, join us for stories, finger plays songs, and social play that will introduce and ready toddlers to preschool. Begins September 17.
Preschool and Kindergarten (3½ – 5): Wednesdays at 11 a.m. Glocester Manton Library and Thursdays at 11 a.m. Harmony Library
Join us for stories, songs, felt board activities, and finger plays! Children are encouraged to participate independently while caregivers remain in the library. Begins September 18.

Drop-in Craft: Library Card Scavenger Hunt

Age Level: Kindergarten and up (Pre-readers with caregiver help)
Visit our Children’s Room at Glocester Manton during the month of September and use your sleuthing skills to solve our Library Card Scavenger Hunt. Note: Registration is not necessary.
Buster the Teaching School Bus
Monday, September 9, 4 p.m., Glocester Manton Library
Age Level: PreK-Grade 2
AAA Northeast brings Buster the Teaching School Bus to the Glocester Manton Library. This interactive program teaches children in Pre-K to Grade 2 about staying safe around cars, buses, and where they drive. This is a great child-friendly program where children get to interact directly with Buster the Teaching School Bus!
International Dot Day Party
Monday, September 16, 3:30 p.m., Glocester Manton Library
Celebrate International Dot Day, based on the book, The Dot, by Peter Reynolds. The Dot celebrates self-expression and creativity, so join us for some creative “dot” crafts and a “dot” snack.
Mini Fall Tote Bag
Monday, September 23, 5 p.m., Harmony Library
Age Level: Ages 3 to 8
Join us at the Harmony Library to design your own miniature fall tote bag with paint, markers, and leaves! This is a fun craft to welcome the first day of fall!
Wednesday, September 25, 4:30 p.m., Harmony Library
Age Level: Grades 3 and up
Make a macramé bracelet or keychain for your backpack! If you have never made one, we will show you how. If you know how, try your hand a creating a new pattern or show a beginner how to create one.

The Cookbook Club returns for its sixth season! We will begin the season with Essential Pépin: More than 700 All-Time Favorites from My Life in Food by Jacques Pépin. If you would like to join the Cookbook Club, register online and then drop by the Harmony Library to pick up a copy of the book.
Chronic Pain Self-Management Workshops
Tuesday, September 10, 9 a.m., Glocester Manton Library
Age Level: 18 years and up
In a series of six sessions, two certified peer leaders from the RI Department of Health will provide participants with the tools to manage medications, fatigue, frustration, proper nutrition, communication skills, evaluate treatments, and action plans.
Introduction to Home Schooling

Members from ENRICH RI will be in the library to hold an introduction to homeschooling workshop. Learn about state laws, district policies, curriculum, and socialization. If you have ever wondered how to get started in homeschooling, this is the workshop for you!
Fearless Art Club
Wednesday, September 11 and September 25, 2 p.m., Glocester Manton Library
During the month of September, the group will introduce water-soluble colored pencil techniques to their continued work with colored pencil techniques. Everyone is welcome to join us. Materials will be supplied, but if you have your own pencils, colored or graphite, please bring them.

If you would like to join the 36 million Americans doing yoga, sign up for this series with Roberta Goldsmith, who has 13 years’ experience teaching in her home studio. Getting Started with Genealogy

Join Kathan Mospaw Lambert, President of the Roger Williams Family Association, for this informative and fun introduction to genealogy. This class will be helpful for anyone interested in learning more about how to find family information and those already immersed in filling those family trees.
