Nonviolence

What is Nonviolence
Nonviolence is the use of peaceful means, not force, to bring about political or social change.
Why use Nonviolence?
At first glance, violence may appear to be a superior technique for resolving conflicts or achieving desired ends because it has obvious and tangible strategies and weapons. Nonviolent techniques are often more difficult to visualize and more difficult to take seriously.
But nonviolence is a weapon available to all, it is least likely to divide opponents, it breaks the cycle of violence and it leaves open the possibility of conversion, it ensures that the media focus on the issue at hand rather than some tangential act of violence and it is the best way of achieving public sympathy. Also it is more likely to produce a positive and reasonable outcome rather than a destructive outcome, it is a method of conflict resolution that may aim to arrive at the truth of a given situation.
Name of our Club?
Me and my fellow students decided to create a club to promote nonviolence. We decided to name it the Violence-Over-Nothing club.
When and where is our club meeting?
Our club is located at our school, Rick Hansen Secondary. Our club is organizing our first meeting in the school library at July 18 2016 to discuss the rules and regulation of our club.
Club Activities
Our club visits elementary schools and teach young children about the effects of violence and also we spread a positive message about why they should use nonviolence in their everyday lives.

Club Goal
Everything we do, we do because we want to end violence. We simply believe that violence is bad and peace is good. We believe that everybody who has seen or experienced violence for real, wants to live a peaceful life rather than a violent one. We believe that you, and everybody else, possess the power to do something great with your life, and to positively affect the lives of the people around you.
By using our non-violence message, our movement, and our unique symbol, we want our programs to spread even farther, and benefit even more people around the world.
How will i know if my club will brought about a positive change to nonviolence?
I personally believe that our club will bring about a more positive change because we can make people believe that they can be part of the movement in their individual capacities as unlike any violent protest, they don't have to throw themselves in completely. The government of the day, has no other option but to listen to the people as they can't resort to violence. Even if they do, it will disenchant more and more people in the society; making the movement stronger. The people have no animosity and anger as they are fighting is for a cause and not against anybody. Struggles make the generations of society stronger, and with fire in their hearts for change. Also it will give the opposing enemy a sense of reasoning since they are using maturity rather than violence and non reasoning.
