Take care of your brain

One thing you may notice as you age is absentmindedness, forgetfulness, and confusion. There are ways to help strengthen your brain and avoid those things. Take vitamins and avoid cholesterol, saturated fats, and trans fats. Eat "brain foods" like: vegetables, fruits, fish, and healthy fats like canola oil and olive oil. Physical exercise helps the brain as well as getting the right amount of sleep every night. Also avoid smoking and limit alcohol consumption. Keep your mind sharp, learn something everyday and try memory tricks and games to keep your memory sharp. Try to avoid high amounts of stress and always treat depression and anxiety.

Take care of your brain

Eating healthy is not only good for your brain but it is good for your body. Eating a well balanced meal lowers your risk of heart disease stroke, type 2 diabetes, cancer, and anemia. Eating well can also help energize you. The most important thing you can do is drink the right amount of water. Water is essential to being healthy. Exercise may be difficult but it is essential as well. Try exercises like walking, jogging, swimming, playing tennis, or any sport you choose. Also go to the doctor regularly to make sure everything is alright as well as taking medication if needed.

Other tips for aging

Get your eyes checked regularly to make sure if you already have glasses or contacts that they are the right prescription. Skin care is also a major problem that comes with old age. Drink plenty of water so your skin doesn't dry out, don't smoke, and don't stay out in the sun too long. Also moisturize if needed. Balance also seems to be a problem with some adults that are aging. Try balancing activities to increase your endurance.
