February News and Events
February 1, 2023
Principal's Corner
Hello Eisenhower Families,
February is a wonderful time for schools as "I Love to Read Month" kicks off. Students still talk about meeting last year's goal and the giant Pokemon costume I wore most of the day. It was so fun to watch them carry books everywhere as they spent every spare moment reading to help meet our collective goal.
A reading log was sent home with students last week along with a flyer outlining special Fridays that we will celebrate this month.
If students are able to read 5,000 books/chapters this month, Mr. Phillips and I will record a TikTok dance to share with the school. I will also be eating lunch with the classroom who reads the most.
Good luck and HAPPY READING!
Lillian DeRung
Principal
