Parent & Student Code-a-Thon

Dec. 10th 7:00 - 8:30pm - Learn - Code - Enjoy

6th Grade Coding Night!

Dear Parents,

We live in a world surrounded by technology. We know that whatever field our students choose to go into as adults, their ability to succeed will increasingly hinge on understanding how technology works. Unfortunately only a tiny fraction of us are learning computer science, and less students are studying it than a decade ago.

That’s why our entire school district is joining in on the largest learning event in history: The Hour of Code, during Computer Science Education Week (Dec. 8-14) during school hours. We also know that you may want to learn more about coding so we are asking you to come and learn more about coding during our Parent & Student Code-a-Thon on December 10th from 7:00pm - 8:30 pm.

We hope to see you and your child!

Our Hour of Code is a statement that Brooklawn, along with the rest of our district, is ready to teach these foundational 21st century skills.
