Online Learning Path for Act 71
As part of Act 71 of 2014, districts are required to provide 4 hours of professional development every 5 years on youth suicide and awareness to educators and staff in grade 6-12. To support districts in providing this professional development, an online Eduplanet course is available.
In the learning path, participants will review the prevalence of suicide, risk factors, warning signs, school-related epidemiology, protective factors and prevention.
This course is designed for K-12 educators, non-teaching staff, administrators, and paraprofessionals.
The cost of the course is $10.00/participant.

College Board presents at CIU20 on The Redesigned SAT® Suite of Assessments
The topics included: Overview of the SAT Suite of Assessments, Eight Key Changes, Scores, Three Test Specifications and Score Reporting.
The College Board revamp the SAT by returning to the 1600-point scale, dropping the timed essay requirement and focused more on relevant vocabulary and math topics, among other changes.
"The College Board redesigned the SAT to better deliver to students the opportunities they have earned through hard work in their classes," David Coleman, College Board president and CEO, said in a statement. "We are equally committed to enhancing instruction and providing resources for students who are behind."
As a result, the College Board and Khan Academy have partnered to offer a set of free, online practice materials for students preparing to take the redesigned SAT college admissions exam this spring.
The Daily Practice for the New SAT® app can be downloaded to Android and iPhones.
