The Sun Will Come Out
We're going to make it, and what I have found most encouraging during these dreary months has been the learning energy inside of your classrooms. On Wednesday, I was able to participate in some collab sessions with social studies and science teachers about common assessments and how we can best use that data. Yesterday, I saw students develop a plan for tsunami alerts based on their trial tests. I also saw students who earned a 0% on the writing portion of last year's PARCC, write argumentative essays that included text evidence AND explanations! If that wasn't good enough, I was lucky enough to get to help celebrate a student who has had her math homework for the last three days after two marking periods of never being prepared.
