Family Focus
This year we are taking more of a family focused approach to homework. We believe that spending quality family time is vital in the success of your student. We will provide family friendly, engaging homework activities and assignments. We would love if you would send us pictures of these activities and share them with us.
This weeks Family focus: We are discussing setting (where and when a story takes place) and comprehension of stories (understanding what we are reading) being able to recall events in a story and discuss in detail. This week we encourage you to have a family night, pop some popcorn, enjoy some snacks and watch a movie. After the movie have a conversation about the setting of the movie (there may be more than one) and specific events in the story. Making connections- What connection did you make with your life and the movie. Please send pictures of your family night festivities!
