WAAG

Week at a Glance

November 13 - November 17

We are sending out a Week at a Glance (WAAG) as a means to inform students and parents of the upcoming important events and announcements for the week. For general information, please visit our website at http://moh.sweetwaterschools.org/

Message from the Principal - Mr. Zumstein

Greetings Aztecs,

Next week we celebrate Thanksgiving with students, teachers, and most of our staff off. We want to communicate our appreciation for everything you do to support student success. Our gratitude goes out to the many students who take our Aztec core values to heart. Being respectful, responsible and resilient will help our Aztecs reach their full potential. At our most recent tardy sweeps we had over 120 students who were tardy. That is an example of not adhering to our Aztec core values. However, that also means that 1500 of our students are doing the right thing on a daily basis. That…we are very thankful for.

Have a great week and terrific upcoming Thanksgiving Break.

Student Handbook

The student handbook is an important document providing guidelines and information about Montgomery High. Please take a moment to review together as a family. This information will also be reviewed the first few weeks of school.

From the Assistant Principals

As part of our commitment to adhering to our Aztec Values of Respect, Responsibility and Resilience, MOH has implemented a non-privilege list effective 8/23/2023.

Click here to access the list

At this time, the non-privilege list includes students with the following:

  • Attendance: 8 full day absences/48 single period absences
  • Discipline: Any students suspended from school the first 6 weeks of school. Any new suspensions will be added to the list.

Any students on this list are prohibited from attending extra-curricular activities or school dances.

The list is reviewed weekly and emailed to students and parents each week. Students may clear ONE full day absence by attending Saturday School. The Saturday School schedule and sign up form are available on the WAAG. The WAAG can be found on our website and is emailed to all Aztecs through Jupiter every Sunday. Any students on the list for student discipline will be re-evaluated at the next grading period.

************************************************************************************************

Aztec Values are the foundation of how we treat one another on campus. Assistant Principals visited classrooms the first two week of school to explain the expectations of all students at MOH. Always remember to be respectful, responsible and resilient to our Aztec Family.

After School Program

All clubs are FREE and open to ALL students. Consider joining one if you haven't yet to make new friends or just challenge yourself by trying something new. If you need tutoring, we have student tutors in the Game Room (100 building) after school. You can get the help that you need or just work on your assignments before heading home. Don't forget that the semester ends next month, so you don't have a whole lot of time to raise your grade. Be smart and STAY with us!
