Farewell from Mr. Jackson
Dear Correia Parents,
It has been my absolute honor and privilege teaching your children over the past few years at Correia Middle. It's true I taught them Spanish but I hope I taught them more than that. I tried to model for them your values and mine of responsibility, respect, hard work, and preparation. Despite, the difficulties of the present, I am optimistic for the future of our children. They are smart and insightful, and full of youthful energy. They will rise to the challenges of their time and solve problems that may seem intractable to our generation. I retire from teaching confident that this generation is busy acquiring the tools to build a better future.
Thank you and all the best.
Mr. Jackson
Welcome to Miriam Ranzolin
My name is Miriam Ranzolin, and I am very excited to be teaching Spanish at Coreia Middle School. I have taught all levels of Spanish and have been with the district for over 29 years. I come from a high school background, having taught at Kearny High and Scripps Ranch High, as well as at IHigh Virtual Academy. While I have not taught middle school, I am excited to work with this age group for the first time. I grew up speaking Spanish as a first language, as well as Portuguese, as my mother is from Mexico and my father from Brazil. I have lived in San Diego the majority of my life, having gone to high school here, then to UCSD for my undergraduate degree. I have four children of my own, two boys and two girls. I love reading, traveling, jigsaw puzzles, and most of all, spending time with my family and friends. I look forward to getting to know my students and making this a successful school year.

- Rule out COVID - Take a COVID test!
- Avoid close contact with ill persons
- Masks can prevent many respiratory infections aside from COVID, like flu

Thank you for your Support with LCFF Forms!
Thank you for your support in filling out the LCFF forms. This helps increase revenue for the district and our school. Every little bit helps!
If you have not yet had the time to complete the form please read below...
This is an important reminder to complete a very short questionnaire that increases San Diego Unified School District’s opportunity to receive funds from the state and could increase opportunities for your own child. The information is collected to support the Local Control Funding Formula process and is kept confidential.
If you have not yet completed the questionnaire, please either sign-in to the Parent Portal page of PowerSchool and complete the short survey or fill out and return the paper form that should have been sent home with your child. By completing the survey, you will not only be supporting the district’s financial efforts but also increasing the chances of your child’s school receiving more of this valuable funding. You may also be eligible for fee waivers for college applications and Advanced Placement exams.
We ask that you complete the LCFF information as soon as possible. Please contact your school’s office staff if you need assistance with the process.
If you have already submitted the LCFF form, no further action is required.
Thank you for your support and have a great evening.
