Drama is a story enacted on stage for a live audience.
The word drama comes from the greek word "dran" which means "to do."
Just like the plot of a story , the plot of a play invole characters who face problems or conflicts. There is an exposistion, complications, climax, and a resolution.
A conflict is the struggle between two opposing characters.
A tragedy is when the play ends unhappily or sad.
The protagonist of most classical tragedies is a tragic hero.
Comedy plays end happily and the plot usally centers on romantic conflicts. for example: when the boy meets girl.
Modern plays are usally tragedy, comedy, or a mixture of the two.
Theater artists include: actors, directors, lightening technicians, and stage crew.
The scence designs consist of: sets, lightening, costumes, and props.
The characters speech is usally dialogue, monologue, soliloquy, and asides.
