September 2015 Updates
I hope you have all had a fantastic start to the new school year. It has been great to see all the students returning to my school, and I can't wait to see what the rest of this year will hold. Please see the information below, and don't hesitate to contact me with any questions, comments or concerns.
NC School Counselor PD Needs Survey
NCDPI and NCSCA are collaborating again this year to provide you with regional drive-in workshops during the second semester. To assess the professional development needs of North Carolina school counselors, a survey has been posted online to obtain your input. NCDPI and NCSCA will use your responses on this anonymous survey to plan professional development for this school year. Please go to http://goo.gl/forms/IwVeiAjWpu
to participate in the survey. Your participation in this survey is greatly appreciated.
If you have any questions, contact Cynthia Floyd at email@example.com .
The Survey will be open for most of September.
Mentoring Needs for Central Region
NCSCA offers a mentoring program through the website. If you would be interested in becoming a mentor with NCSCA, please click the blue button below. The link will take you to the Mentor Program webpage; once there, you can download an application. Once the application is complete, please email it to Angela Totty: firstname.lastname@example.org
Central Region Specific Need:A counselor in the Guilford County area is seeking a mentor through NCSCA. This counselor is looking for someone with elementary or middle experience. Duties would include phone calls, texting, email or in-person meetings no more than 1x a month, or as the mentee needs to collaborate or seek guidance for particular counseling needs.
