What I'm Reading....
#BooksForDay
#MomentMakers
The Power of Moments is totally taking my breath away! It has helped me be intentional about creating moments and recognizing the moments that we do create every single day as educators.
I plan on finishing it over break and diving into three more books!
What are you reading on break? We gave a challenge to our scholars to read at least four hours over break...can you do that same? If you turn in a marshmallow, you will be entered in for a free McDonald's lunch too!
Think about this:
"Tripping over the truth is an insight that packs an emotional wallop. When you have a sudden realization, one that you didn't see coming, one that you know viscerally is right, you've tripped over the truth. It's defining moment that in an instant can change the way you see the world."

When we go into education we do so to make a difference in the lives of children. So, let’s not be frustrated when students “mess up” - let’s be grateful. For these moments are the greatest opportunities that we’ll ever get to make that difference. #MomentMakers #satchat

WIN-- Whatever I Need!
WIN!
Win data is here!
If you have WIN changes, please see me!
If you are changing up your instruction in WIN, please make an appointment to talk to me. All WIN classes need to have a baseline progress monitoring done before Jan. 15th
Your progress monitoring does not have to be a short form MAP. It can be an assessment you create in USA Test Prep, a google form made TEST, a Performance Matters assessment, a RI (SRI). The link is here for you to indicate what you will be using to pre/post test your WIN class. This information is due by Jan. 12th.
Data will be posted in the Parent Resource Room!
The Six R's...and #ThatOneWord
I am very proud of the relentless efforts you have all been a part of as we continue to create the culture and climate at #BeBCMS of eliteness! Thank you!
Please take some time over your break to truly implement the SIX R's....REST, REFLECT, REFOCUS, RESTORE, RENEW..and READ!
We are at our very best when we take care of ourselves and when our cups are full!
Last year, we all identified a "one word" along with a bio to help us build relationships with our scholars. This year, I am challenging all of us to take our #OneWords to the next level. What can your one word be to help you continue to inspire and challenge our scholars every single day? What #OneWord can you identify that will push YOU and challenge you to take your practices to a new level?
My one word for 2017 was serve. MY one word for 2018 is MOMENTS! Please take time to fill out the form for our #YourOneWord project for this year!
