We would like to honor the memory of John Bartis
It is with great sadness that we share with you the passing of a dear friend and co-worker here at the Saint Michael School Community, John Bartis. He was employed at the parish for the last several years and passed away unexpectedly last week. We ask that you would pray for John.
Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord,
and let perpetual light shine upon him.
May his soul,
and the souls of all the faithful departed,
through the mercy of God,
rest in peace.

So next time you have clothing or shoes you need to part with, we hope you will consider tossing them in the yellow bin out in our parking lot. It's a win for everyone!
Time to submit your Box Tops clippings

Saints In Top Form for Home Finale
by Phil Leggiere
The Saint Michael School Saints basketball squad hosted their final two home games of the regular season this week at the Austine school.
On Tuesday, January 28 the Saints faced off against the formidable Pioneer Valley Chinese Immersion Charter School (PVCICS) team, which had beaten them badly on the road back in December. The Saints brought their best defensive game, with Jack Leggiere blocking numerous PVCICS shots. Unfortunately, the Saint offense was unable to convert these opportunities into points, frequently missing shots and letting PVCICS dominate the first half, taking a 38 to 13 lead.
Though their shooting improved slightly in the second half the Saints were unable to close the gap suffering a 59 to 26 loss. High scorer was Michael Kelliher with 10 points and Jason Borst was next with 8 (including 2 3-pointers).
Back in action the following day for their home finale against the Hartsbrook Waldorf School the Saints took command from the opening whistle, jumping ahead to an 18 to 0 lead, with Michael Pierce controlling the boards with aggressive rebounding and Michael Kelleher and Ezra Christie pouring in early points with precision shooting, putting the Saints up by double digits at the half.
Hartsdale fought back, closing the Saint lead to three points with a few minutes left before the Saints led by Michael Kelliher, who hit for a season high of 25 points, surged to end the game with a decisive 48-37 win.
Next week the Saints close out the regular season on the road Thursday, February 6 against the Greenwood School in Putney, Vermont.
