A peek into our week
Math- We continued working on number concepts with odd/even, place value and expanded form. The students enjoyed making a "math octopus" to show skills we've practiced. Our "class pets" will be on display in the hallway soon, if you'd to stop by and take a look.
Bible - This week's theme was telling the truth. Our scripture was Phil. 4:8, and our Bible story was Ananias and Sapphira.
Social Studies - We read the So. St. Weekly newspaper, "Life in the United States," with focus on the American Flag and Pledge. We discussed such terms as freedom, liberty and justice. We talked about why the Bald Eagle was chosen as a National symbol, the correct way to fold or display the American Flag and ways to be a good citizen.
