Collaborative Strategic Reading, or CSR, is a research-based nonfiction instructional practice in teaching reading comprehension to students to enhance content area learning. It gets students engaged by teaching reading comprehension skills in small cooperative groups. It is a great strategy to use in science and SS to teach the content, and it can be used in reading to integrate the science and SS standards! CSR can be used as a way to raise the level of rigor for all students and to provide intervention to your tiered students.
Location: Mrs. Loftus' EIP room
This is the same session as Jan. 4 PD Day.
