June 2017

A MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL

Ahhhhhh... we are sliding into home base for the 2016-2017 school year.

Check out a few of the upcoming events below. We have some good ones coming up. And a reminder that any outside events, please send your student(s) with sunscreen and extra water for those days.

Looking forward to Kindergarten Graduation this Thursday, June 8, 5:30 pm (Kinders report to room 3 at 5:00 pm). Seeing those shining faces and proud parents always touches my heart.

A big thank you to Patrick PTO this year. You have supplied wonderful events for our students and their families and your handwork does not go unnoticed. Thank you to Figaros for helping us celebrate our Students of the Month every month. They love your pizza. Thank you to the parents who put together the Patrick Community Garden-- your skills are amazing and we cannot wait to put this new piece of our campus to good use.
To the amazing hard-working staff of Patrick Elementary, you are a joy and a treasure! I appreciate all that you do, and love coming to work with you EVERY day!

As we get ready to depart for another summer, don't forget to encourage your students to read; have them read to you, and you can read to them. Help them figure out how many pounds of green beans they can get with $5. Or how long before the movie starts. There are many little ways to weave in problem solving and keep those school skills sharp during the summer.

From all of us here at Patrick Elementary, we wish you a happy, safe summer. And as always, thank you for letting us teach your children. We are honored.

Sara

They will have a bus driver at registration to share routes and times with you.

Patrick Elementary's Vision and Mission Statement

Every Child…Every Day

Vision Statement:

Patrick Elementary creates a positive community where our students feel safe, appreciated, and confident as it ensures that every child’s voice is heard, valued and respected. We show compassion in a myriad of ways to every child, honoring every child’s diverse background and experiences, and use these to carefully and thoughtfully guide our instruction.

Mission Statement:

At Patrick, every child will return home each day knowing their teacher greeted them by name, listened to their thoughts and valued their presence in the classroom. The whole child will be supported in a climate where every child feels comfortable making mistakes and learns from those mistakes. Every child, every day will be provided feedback and support! Children will see that they have talents in a variety of areas and these varied talents will be celebrated. Patrick staff will support the whole child, allow them to be healthy, happy, and safe. Our students will be inspired to see the possibilities for their lives.
