Language Arts:
The students will explain author's purpose and messages within a poem.
The students will use capitalization of proper nouns to emphasis the name of people and places.
Math: Students will determine the total number of objects when equally-sized groups of objects are combined or arranged in arrays
Science: The students will explore how engineers solve problems and design solutions.
Social Studies: Students will learn create and interpret maps in order to show their understanding that maps tell a story.
Homework:
Reading: Please make sure your child is reading 20 minutes a day and then writing a 3-5 sentence response about what they read in their reading log notebook.
Math: Please make sure to check your child's planner on a daily basis for math homework assignments.
October 7-11
Language Arts:
The students will continue to deepen their comprehension of poems.
The students will continue to us capitalization of proper nouns.
Math: Students will represent multiplication facts by using a variety of strategies to determine the total number of objects.
Science: The students will explore how engineers solve problems and design solutions.
Social Studies: Students will learn how to get from one location to another on a map.
Homework:
