2022 Graduating Seniors - GA Scholar Application Information
-Must have a minimum combined score of 1360 on the Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT) at one test sitting; OR a composite score of 31 at one test sitting on the American College Test (ACT).
-Cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 3.75.
-Must be student must be registered to vote, if a United States citizen and 18 years of age on or before March 1, 2022.
-Must show evidence of self-esteem and concern for others in day-to-day activities.
-Must have participated in at least three (3) different competitive interscholastic activities (e.g., athletics, music and literary events, fairs, and exhibits).
-Must have been appointed by a school official, or elected to, positions of leadership in a minimum of two (2) different organizations sponsored by the school.
-Has shown evidence of leadership in a minimum of two (2) different organizations outside the school, including being appointed by an organization sponsor or elected to a position of leadership or role of responsibility in a minimum of one (1) of these activities. Note: This does not include paid positions.
-Reference letter, a verification form signed by your principal and school counselor, and a signature form from your parent or guardian.
*Please note that the requirements for Georgia Scholar are set in state law and exceptions cannot be made.
*Georgia Scholar is a recognition-only program and no scholarship funds are associated.
Your hard copy application is due to Ms. Miles (or Mrs. White) in room 516 no later than Thursday, February 10th, 2022, at 12:00pm. Ms. Miles will submit your final application by Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at 12:00pm.

Open House Events
RHHS will host an “Academics and Pathways Open House” for students to explore all of the academics and pathway opportunities that RHHS has to offer. Students and parents will be able to learn about different programs related to CTAE, Fine Arts, JROTC, Foreign Language, and Advanced Placement (AP). Teachers will have information for the students about the various courses available for 9th grade students during the 2022-23 school year.

Attendance Reminder
- Attendance: As it relates to attendance and expectations regarding the check out process, please exercise the following should your child need to leave early: send in a signed note and have your student drop it by the attendance office in the morning. Phone calls, emails and faxes are not accepted. Please be sure to include a good contact number for verification. Once verified, the student will be given a class dismissal note, and sign themselves out.
Athletic Ticketing - Go Fan
Richmond Hill High School and Richmond Hill Athletics are excited to announce the use of Go Fan for our sporting events. Go Fan allows all event spectators to purchase tickets prior to events, or at the gate through your mobile device, avoid long lines, and limit person to person contact. All students parking on campus, including dual enrolled students must have a parking permit. Parking permits should be displayed by the first day of school, August 3, 2021.
