Happy 2022 Hometown Families!

We hope everyone had a wonderful, restful holiday break and we are looking forward to all that 2022 has to offer! If your families are experiencing any symptoms or awaiting test results that will prevent you from coming back on January 6th, please reach out to myself and the nurse via email at abencik@d123.org or sbaker@d123.org.

We are also looking forward to our PTA meeting on Thursday, January 6th at 6pm. We will be raffling off a Jewel gift card for all participants.

Breakfast will be served starting at 8:10am in the MPR room. If you would like your children to have breakfast, please send then to the main entrance for breakfast by 8:10am.

Morning drop off

Please be cautious as you are dropping off your students in the morning. We have cars coming through the parking lot. Please have your child walk on the sidewalk the entire way and DO NOT cut through the parking lot.

PTA Happenings

We encourage all to attend the PTA meeting on Thursday, January 6th at 6pm. Some of the topics being discussed include:

  • Family Bingo on January 21st
  • Goodies with Grandparents
  • Nominating committee for officers
  • Hundred Day of school
  • Forming a committee for the Family Dance- February 18th
  • Sneak peek at the calendar option for next year

Shield Parent Portal

If you would like to be able to view Shield Covid results, the attached flyer gives directions on how to set up the parent portal. Please follow directions in the flyer.

If you bring your child late to school, (after 9am) you must provide a lunch for your child. Our orders are sent over at 9am. We do not have any extra ordered.

Vaccination Cards

We recommend that each family begin to upload their child's vaccination card to Skyward. We have provided directions for doing so. If you have questions, please email or call the office.

Please make sure your child has extra masks with them for the day. We ask that each family pack their child's backpack with additional mask in case theirs breaks or gets dirty.

Special Olympics

The special olympics will be held at the middle school on January 22nd. The flyer is attached. This is a great event. Please consider attending.

Winter MAP Testing

We will begin our winter MAP testing the week of January 10th. Each grade level will be testing at different times.
