Musician and actor Elvis Presley endured rapid fame in the mid-1950s—on the radio, TV and the silver screen—and continues to be one of the biggest names in rock 'n' roll.

How He Died

On August 16th 1977, he returned to Graceland after a late appointment with the dentist. He went to his bedroom around 7:00 pm to rest before an evening flight. He was later found in his bathroom and rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead from cardiac arrhythmia.
