Intolerable Acts of 1770
Intolerable Acts- An attempt to subjugate Massachusetts.
Administration of Justice Act- an act for the impartial administration of justice in the cases of persons questioned for any acts done by them in the execution of the law.
Massachusetts Government Act- an act for the better regulating the government of the province of the Massachusetts' Bay.
Quartering Act of 1774- similar to the Quartering Act of 1765 which was an act for punishing mutiny and desertion, and for the better payment of the army and their quarters.
Quebec Act- an act for making effectual Provision for the Government of the Province of Quebec.
What Caused the Acts?
Also the disobedience of Americans caused the Intolerable Acts.
People Involved in the Intolerable Acts
King George III
Taxed the people of the colonies.
He planned a more efficient way for colonists to regain their control over themselves.
He was the Prime Minister of Great Britian.
Colonists eventually got their freedom back!
