Creation of the Nation
- After World War I in 1918 the first Republic of Austria was established
- After World War II in 1945, Austria was restored to its 1937 frontiers
- On May 15, 1955, the Austrian State treaty was ratified and Austria declared its permanent neutrality
Judenplatz Holocaust Memorial
- Also known as the Nameless Library.
- It is the central memorial for the 65,000 murdered Austrian Jews in the Holocaust at Judenplatz.
- The outside surfaces of the volume are cast library shelves turned inside out.
- The titles are facing inward and are not visible which makes the titles unknown just like the names of the Jews.

- Born on April 20th, 1889 in Braunau am Inn, Austria
- Died on April 30th, 1945 in Berlin, Germany
- Military Leader, Dictator
- Leader of Nazi Germany from 1934 to 1945
- He initiated World War II
- Oversaw fascist policies that resulted in millions of deaths
- Invaded and bombed many countries
- Overuse of power/power hungry
Austrian Flag
- Originally adopted in 1918, officially adopted in 1945 after being banned during World War II
- The red and white was designed to resemble the bloodstained white coat worn by the Duke of Austria during a fierce battle
Land of the Mountains, Land on the River
- "Strongly feuded for, fiercely hard-fought for"
- Fought a lot of hard wars for their freedom of the country they have to today and to be able to endure the beauty of their country.
