Cognitive Coaching Part II Update
Details About Why the Change
What's Changing?
- I know! Some of you are feeling like Harry!
- Day 1 on August 3 is cancelled because we do not have participants to pay the expenses, but the potential positive impact on student learning is worth trying again!
- Day 2 and 3 on Tuesday, September 20, and Wednesday, September 21, are still scheduled, but will become Day 1 and Day 2 respectively.
- Days 3 and 4 will be scheduled back to back for some time in Mid-October through Mid-November 2016.
More Why?
There are 21 currently registered and we need 40 to break even. There are 23 other participants in the area that need Cognitive Coaching Part II to earn certification.
Attending other options in the state would increase costs to include overnight lodging, mileage, and a fee between $600 to $750.
We are dedicated to making sure the original 43 participants have the opportunity to become certified Cognitive Coaches.
Most importantly, having staff certified in Cognitive Coaching who use it regularly can have a significant impact on improving instruction and learning.
