PSO HOLIDAY COOKIE SWAP/INTERCAMBIO DE GALLETAS NAVIDEÑAS DE PSO

Thank you to THS PSO and all the families that contributed to the PSO Holiday Cookie Swap! Our staff enjoyed this so much and felt loved and appreciated by our THS families. We could not do the work we do without your support and we felt the love with all the amazing and tasty treats you all provided on our last work day before winter break! THANK YOU!

National Honor Society Blood Drive/Campaña de donación de sangre

Did you know a blood donation can save up to 3 lives? On January 16th National Honor Society (NHS) partnered with the American Red Cross to host a blood drive. It will be from 12:00-5:00 at Rise Church (10445 SW Canterbury Lane, Portland, OR 97224). Anyone is welcome and encouraged to donate (parents, teachers, students, community members, etc). Students who decide to donate need to be 16 and older and fill out a parent permission slip. To sign up either scan the QR code or go to www.redcrossblood.org and enter the sponsor code: TigardHS. Please reach out to 23kummk@ttsdstudents.org for the permission slip or if you have any questions.

Volunteer Parent Mentor Program/Programa de mentores de padres voluntarios

The THS Volunteer Parent Mentor program which currently has over 50 volunteers is seeking to add more volunteers to begin mentoring juniors in February. We will be having two new volunteer orientations, one on Friday January 20th at 9am in the Career Center, and again on Friday, the 27th at 9am virtually.

If you are interested in meeting one on one with juniors and seniors during school hours to help them plan and achieve their post high school goals this is the volunteer position for you. You will learn more about post secondary options, scholarships and the financial aid process to assist your own student. For more information see the Career Center website.

If you have a few hours per month to participate as a mentor and want to make a difference in the lives of our students, contact Jill Sims jsims@ttsd.k12.or.us.

El programa de mentores de padres voluntarios de THS, que actualmente cuenta con más de 50 voluntarios, está buscando agregar más voluntarios para comenzar a asesorar a los jóvenes en febrero. Tigard High School Baseball 2023/Béisbol en la preparatoria Tigard

For anyone that is interested in playing baseball at Tigard High School there will be a meeting on January 4th in room N201 at 4pm after school. All you will need to bring is something to write with. This will be an informational meeting for all students that are interested in playing baseball this coming spring at Tigard High School.

If you cannot make the meeting on January 4th, please stop by room N201 and talk with Mr. Leach before coming to a workout.

Para cualquiera que esté interesado en jugar béisbol en la preparatoria Tigard, habrá una reunión el 4 de enero en el salón #N201 a las 4:00 pm después de la escuela.
