Abraham Lincoln was the 16th president of the United States. He was born February 12, 1809 in Hodgenville ,KY. His spouse was Mary Todd Lincoln. Abraham Lincoln died on April 15, 1865." Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt."
Emancipation Proclamation
The Emancipation Proclamation was written by Abe Lincoln. It was written to free slaves at a certain date. Lincoln warned the southern states that slavery would end forever. It was written on January 1, 1863 and stating slaves would be FREE.
Gettysburg
Gettysburg was the bloodiest battle of the Civil War. Robert E. Lee ,General of the Confederate Army, learned the 95,000 men of the Union army of the Potomac led by Major General George G. Mead were pursuing them.
