Cheetah Chatter Parent Update
Chapel District Elementary School Nov. 5th- Nov. 12th
Picture Day is Monday, Book Fair Until 11/10
Hello, Chapel Families!
Report cards for Quarter 1 will be issued electronically through email today. Please reach out to your child's teacher if you have any questions or concerns.
Picture Day is Monday 11/8! Picture forms were sent home with students this week. You may also purchase picture packages online by going to mylifetouch.com and using CDES's Picture ID: EVT3MVTT8. (Link is also included above). For any students who miss Picture Day, make-ups will be 1/11/22.
Our CDES Scholastic Book Fair is open through November 10th! The book fair is open 10 a.m.-3 p.m. daily. Students have already had a "PREVIEW" day this week where they created a wish list of books. Students will have a "BUY" day next week where they can bring money to school and purchase books on their own during media specials time. All checks can be made out to "CDES Grandparents Club."
We will also have grade-level specific buy days for any parents or family members who would like to visit our media center and purchase books for their child for the holidays, or go shopping with their child. This will help us limit the amount of visitors on any given day. Visiting parents/family members will need to buzz into the front office, sign in, and wear a visitors badge prior to going to the Media Center. Ms. Bonnie will call your child down to the office if you would like to take them shopping. You will also have the option to purchase books online, if you are not comfortable coming into school (link is below). Flyers have gone home explaining the Scholastic eWallet and online options. Proceeds from the book fair will support our Grandparents Club and CDES!

Our Grandparents Club is currently selling Butter Hearts pastries, pies, and cookies. Order forms are due November 10th. Get your orders in before the holidays! Order forms went home in students' take home folders. Item delivery/pick-up will be November 19th at CDES. Please make checks out to "CDES Grandparents Club."
We are accepting donations for our Giving Tree gift card program through November 15th. Please reach out to Mrs. Tillman (firstname.lastname@example.org) with questions.
Today is the final day to send in your Veterans Day pictures for our slideshow. Thank you to those families who have shared your pictures. We will share a video of our CDES Veterans Day slideshow with families next week in our Cheetah Chatter, while students will view the video in classrooms. Unfortunately, we will be unable to have our in-person Parents Day and Veterans Day Program this year, as we are trying to limit the number of visitors in the building at one time. We do still invite our parents and family members to visit on their designated Book Fair day.
Wishing everyone a relaxing weekend and enjoy that extra hour of sleep (HA) on Sunday with Daylight Savings Time!
