Centerview families,
Welcome back everyone from what I hope was a fine spring break for you and your family. It’s amazing that the spring season is upon us already and the weather has been telling us so (until today’s snow). I’m rested and ready for our final trimester of learning in 2021-22. We’ve got lots to accomplish…let’s go!
With the conclusion of Trimester 2, report cards will be available beginning Friday, March 25 through Campus Parent Portal. If you prefer a paper copy of the report card sent home for Trimester 2, please notify your child’s teacher.
Report card grades reflect student learning. Teachers look at evidence of learning, over time, to determine where students are at their learning at the time of report cards. This is just one of many ways we report on student learning throughout the year.
Grades for K-4 include:
- MS: Minimal progress toward standard
- AS: Approaching the standard
- S: Met the standard
- ES: Exceeds the standard
- An NA indicates that students did not have opportunities to learn this outcome. Any learning outcomes marked as NA will be addressed throughout the rest of the year.
- An NE (No Evidence) grade indicates that students had opportunities to learn this outcome but did not submit any evidence of their learning. As a result, there is no evidence to determine where they are at toward meeting the learning outcome. Any learning outcomes marked as NE will be addressed throughout the rest of the year.
As we move through Trimester 3, I encourage you to keep in touch with your student’s learning through Seesaw, Schoology, email, WebEx, and/or a simple phone call. Your continued partnership is important as we finish the school year with success.
Take care, and know we’ll see and feel improved spring weather soon.
Mike
