Principal's Message
Dear Hoover Families,
Thank you so much for all you have done for your children and for the school this year. Special thanks to all the members of the Site Council and ELAC for volunteering your time to help us steer the school this year and also to plan for next year. Thanks to all the volunteers who helped on campus as well, I know that campus visits were limited due to the pandemic, but thank you for signing up with the DO for volunteering at school. Thank you teachers and staff for working so hard this year to make sure that all students learned not only the academics that students may have missed during the pandemic, but also for making sure that all students learned the social skills so needed for a well functioning school. It takes a village to raise a child, and we were a great village this year. Now to some important announcements for the end of the year.
Open House Wednesday June 1st. will be held virtually
Due to the increase of positive COVID cases on campus, we will be holding a virtual meeting for Open House. Please join us this Wednesday June 1st at 5:30pm. Please click on the link below:

Yosemite for 8th graders from June 5-9
Our next big field trip is Yosemite for 8th graders, I hope that you already have all the information that is required, but should you have any questions, pls do not hesitate to contact us at 650-482-2408.
Last Week of School June 6th-8th
Monday through Wednesday (June 6, June 7th and June 8th) will all be minimum days, students will be dismissed with the Thursday schedule
Thursday June 9th will be a super minimum day, students will all be dismissed at noon
Please make a note of it.
BGCP will work regular hours on June 6th, 7th, 8th. June 9th BGCP will work regular hours, but they encourage parents to pick kids up early if at all possible.

MORE COVID INFORMATION
Parents, please be aware that there have been recent changes and updated to the Pandemic Recovery Framework, please take the time to read and note those changes.
In order to test, you MUST register, one time registration needed, if you are already registered, there is no need to register again. I highly encourage you to register your child at the following link: Registration for Free Covid Testing.

Tickets for Graduation
Congratulations on having your child graduate! We are excited to share that Eighth-grade graduation tickets are available for pick up at the Hoover Family Center during specific times. Please stop by the Family Center to pick up your graduation tickets either Tuesday, May 24, 2022, from 8:00 am - 9:30 am, or on Wednesday, May 25, 2022, from 2:30 pm - 3:30 pm.
If you would like to have your student pick up the graduation tickets on your behalf please email Ixchel Baltazar, our Community School Coordinator, at ibaltazar@rcsdk8.net or call 650.482.2112
Disclaimer: Please be mindful that there will be NO replacement of graduation tickets if you lose or misplace your graduation tickets.
