Junior Meetings

The NFHS Counseling Department is now offering Junior Meetings for students in the Class of 2022. Due to COVID, parents will be asked to join these meetings virtually.


These conferences will include a discussion of graduation progress, college and career plans, HOPE Scholarship GPA and Rigor classes, and Dual Enrollment, among other topics.


We encourage parent/guardian participation in this opportunity. Conference times are open through February 5th. If you have not viewed the Sophomore/Junior Seminar we encourage you to review the presentation for basic information prior to the conference. Senior Dues

Class of 2021 - Remember to pay your senior dues! These can be paid online to Balfour and will cover the cost of cap and gown, diploma cover, graduation expenses, facility rentals, & senior events. Pay them before the cost increases on February 1st!

Class of 2021 - Help us celebrate you!!

  • Report Scholarships Awarded - Track how much $$$ students are offered. Students that are awarded scholarships will be recognized at our Senior Awards Night on May 20th.
  • Report College Acceptances - We want to celebrate you! When you get an acceptance letter to a college or university, please fill out the form!

2021 GA Scholar Recognition Program

Does your senior have a non-weighted core GPA of a 3.75 or above? Did they score a 31 or higher on the ACT? A 1360 or above on the SAT? Are they involved in 3 or more interscholastic activities and show leadership in 2 activities outside of school? Then they could potentially qualify as a 2021 Georgia Scholar! For more information about being recognized as a Georgia Scholar, please stop by the counseling office to see Ms. Balog (LBalog@forsyth.k12.ga.us) for an application. Applications are due to Ms. Balog by February 1st, 2021.

BigFuture Days College Fair & PROBE College Tour

College Board & PROBE are hosting virtual events for high school students to connect directly with college admissions representatives and take action on the most important steps for college. Utilize the buttons below for more information and registration!

Virtual Campus Tours

Campus tours are a great way to experience a college campus. This year, we know those have become much more difficult. May colleges have adapted and created a virtual campus tour experience. You can check out a few virtual campus tour options using the buttons below!

Parent Information Webinar - The Ultimate Guide to Career Options & Choices for Parents & High School Students

Navigating the post-high school career path can feel scary and overwhelming. The numerous post-high school options and training costs involved require knowledge and planning. Workshop presenters will explore the five paths to preparing for a career, cost of college versus technical schools versus apprenticeships, and how students and parents can best prepare for their chosen career paths. Following the webinar, topic-specific breakouts rooms will be available to parents and students. Breakout rooms will provide parents and students the opportunity to ask questions to industry representatives, education representatives and military representatives. Volunteer with the Forsyth County Library!

Rising 9th - 12th grade teens who are interested in the 2021 summer VolunTEEN program are required to attend an online Information Session to be eligible to apply. Past volunteers will share their experiences and library staff will provide additional information about applying to the VolunTEEN program. Registration sessions are being held through February and applications open in March. What a fun opporutnity!

Priority Scholarship Deadlines

Remember to be paying attention to upcoming college and scholarship deadlines this semester. For example, Georgia Southern's final freshman scholarship application deadline is Monday, February 1! Students who plan to submit scholarship applications and apply to the Honors College must be admitted and submit their MyScholarships application by February 1 for consideration. We want to make sure you don't miss out on these opportunities!
