Howdy, Lobos!
PSA is excited to introduce 3rd grade Math teacher, Mrs. Cristal Casey-Smith. This is Mrs. Smith's 23rd year in the education profession and 17th year here with us in Little Elm ISD. Mrs. Smith previously taught at Brent and Chavez Elementary. She graduated from University of North Texas with a Bachelors in Interdisciplinary Studies with a minor in Earth Science. She is certified in Math, grades 1st - 8th.
Since Mrs. Smith was a child, math has always been her favorite subject. She enjoys working with numbers, problem-solving, and using critical thinking skills. Mrs. Smith’s goal is to make math enjoyable in hopes that her students come to love math as well. Each year, Mrs. Smith tries to find fun and exciting ways to teach difficult math concepts. This year, Mrs. Smith is excited to share her ideas and will assist with writing 3rd grade math curriculum for the district.
Mrs. Smith is married to her wonderful husband, Jeff, of 19 years, and they have three wonderful children- Kevin, Kodey, and Savannah. In Mrs. Smith’s free time, she enjoys reading mystery stories, watching movies, scrapbooking, and spending quality time with her family.
We are happy to have Mrs. Smith a part of the PSA family!
