September 2023
Back to School
It's been an exciting few weeks seeing Hollymead students and staff kick off the 2023-2024 school year! Thanks to the help of our members, the Hollymead PTO
- helped kindergarteners navigate dismissals for the first week of school,
- launched registration for a variety of after-school clubs, and
- stocked the teachers' lounge with treats and beverages.
Want to get more involved to support our school community? See some of our upcoming activities in this newsletter and
- consider joining our team! Open board positions include co-president, co-vice president, co-treasurer, and co-volunteer coordinator. Visit our website or email us at hollymeadptovolunteer@gmail.com for more information.
- attend our next meeting, scheduled for September 13 at 7 pm at Hollymead.
- follow us on Facebook and Instagram.
- complete our volunteer interest form to see the ways you can share your time and talents.
We look forward to working with you!
Sincerely,
The 2023-2024 PTO Board

Treat the Staff on Back to School Night
Hollymead is hosting Back to School Night on Tuesday, September 26. You can treat the staff and give them the energy they need to extend the school day into the evening.
How can you help? Sign up now to
- make a monetary donation towards the purchase of sandwiches from Take It Away ($8 will buy dinner for 1 staff member) or
- bring other food, drinks, or plates.
Please drop off all donated items to the Hollymead front office by 3 pm on Tuesday, September 26. Thanks for helping shower our staff with appreciation!
Join the Fun! Camp4Real Kids Night Out is Coming to Hollymead on October 6
Kids Night Out (KNO) is a three-hour drop-off event featuring a catered dinner and an exciting lineup of engaging PE-style games and activities for children in kindergarten through 6th grade.
Camp4Real is proud to support the Hollymead Elementary school community and will donate a portion of the event proceeds back to our PTO.
Discounted early registration is now open! Learn more and snag your child’s spot for the October 6 event.
KNO Highlights
Led by Camp4Real founder and experienced physical educator, Scott Williams (aka Mr. Dubs) and a team of teaching professionals, Camp4Real is passionate about:

Students will not be dismissed to clubs without notification of a change to their dismissal plans. And don't forget to pack an extra snack!
The Easiest Ways to Support the PTO
Even if you can't volunteer your time, you can still take a few simple actions to support the PTO:
- Participate in our guilt-free fundraiser and make a donation via PayPal! This year, we want to remove the hassle for families to buy or sell goods to support our fundraisers. Instead, you can make a donation, and 100% of your contribution will go directly to the PTO. Remember to note "donation" when completing the transaction.
- Update your grocery cards to benefit Hollymead Elementary (Kroger: Hollymead ID# 80574 and Harris Teeter: Hollymead ID# 5899). These must be updated every year.
Thanks for your generosity!
