Classes Visiting the Library
- Students in Ms. Gibson's English I classes accessed their Google Accounts to create a document to respond to Interview questions in order to share their personalities, likes, goals for the year, etc.
- English II classes visited the library with two objectives: to checkout books for their 9 weeks reading project & to register for Turn It In. Students used the online catalog and received suggestions from the librarian in selecting and locating their book choices. Mr. Del Castillo and Ms. Johnson, along with Ms. Chance, Ms. Wedgworth and Ms. Mills, had their students enroll in their classes through Turn It In in anticipation of having students submit their future papers via this Web based application.
- Ms. Voss's and Ms. Mann's English III students visited the library to enroll in Turn It In, and to conduct a WebQuest with the goal of spending valuable time on their college admission applications and investigating scholarship opportunities.
- English I teachers, Ms. Robison, Ms. Gibson, Ms. Jett, Ms. Steitle, Mr. Pintor, Ms. Sadovsky, and Ms. Stiefvater, brought their classes to the library for an Orientation.
- World Geography students in Ms. Robbins, Ms. Looger, and Coach Lacey's classes also learned about the library through a self-guided tour using their map skills on the library's iPads.
COLLABORATION:
- Ms. Carrier's European History classes visited the library to do research on a variety of topics using ABC-Clio. Notes were taken, and citations were created for their assignment.
- Photography and Journalism students with Ms. Jett's classes took notes and cited their database sources for their assignments researching the history of Journalism and famous photographers.
