FBMS DRAMA WORKING ON PRODUCTION OF "MILL GIRLS"
The play "Mill Girls" brings history vividly to life by showcasing the struggles of young girls during the American industrial revolution of the 1840s. It was during this time that many young women took jobs in New England mills. There girls from dissimilar backgrounds discovered the unique rewards and challenges of factory work. Eventually the girls fight to gain reasonable pay and working conditions. The show will be performed at the Massachusetts Educational Theater Guild's Middle School Festival on April 27th.
