Nurse's Notes: January 2021
Happy New Year!
I'm so excited!
I cannot wait to see all of the students again on January 19th! (or sooner...more info soon!)
Just a quick reminder about a few things:
-The Symptom Free School Protocol is still in place for staff and students. If your child is experiencing ANY symptom of COVID19, please keep them home and follow the symptom free protocol
https://www.kpbsd.k12.ak.us/communications.aspx?id=42170
-Wearing a mask at school is required
-The CDC has made changes to the quarantine guidelines for people that have been in close contact with a person that has COVID19. Quarantine is still 14 days OR 10 days if no symptoms OR 7+ days with a negative test taken on day 6 if free of symptoms....

-The State travel mandates apply to staff and students.
Returning employees and students who test within 72 hours of departure or test on arrival in Alaska, must quarantine for 5 days after arrival and if they have received a negative test result and are symptom free, can return to school on day 6. If they experience any symptoms after arrival, they should get re-tested and follow the symptom free protocol. If they choose not to test, they must quarantine for 14 days after arrival in Alaska and can return to school if symptom free. Test results can be submitted to the school.
COVID-19 Vaccines-for your information
*The COVID-19 vaccine is not a State of Alaska required immunization for students nor is it a requirement of employment at the KPB school district
