Letter from the Principal

Happy November! We're so thrilled to share this beautiful Fall season with your children. As we enter the holidays, we are also excited to share a few "hybrid" opportunities for community involvement. Please rest assured that throughout these upcoming events, we will continue with safety protocols as long as necessary to maintain the safe and effective in-person learning for which Galloway has become known.

Beyond the fall events and dates listed below, we are also looking ahead to the Spring Semester for an Open House opportunity for parents to come inside the school and reconnect with teachers.

Thank you for sharing your children with us. Their precious laughter, smiles, and conversations reveal the Galloway spirit we promote every day. Let's keep learning and growing together!

Please take a moment to review exciting information, below.

Two Spelling Bees Around the Corner

Students in 3rd - 8th grade will participate in class spelling bees November 17th.

Top classroom spellers will receive:

  • invitation to share lunch-time with the principal
  • identification on morning announcements and in school newsletter
  • inclusion in group picture for the yearbook

These classroom bee winners will then be eligible to participate in our Galloway School campus spelling bee, December 8th, for a chance to represent the school in the regional spelling bee.

Thanksgiving Feast - Nov. 18

We're excited to share that this year for Thanksgiving, students in PreK-4 and older will have the opportunity to eat with a small group of their peers in the gymnasium, Thursday, November 18.

This special feast will be catered by our very own Krysta! Please place your child's Thanksgiving Feast order as soon as possible!

Are you available to help that day?

We'd love to have a few parent-volunteers from each class. We have openings for general set-up between groups, as well as serving students boxed-feasts with their names on the box. Unfortunately, we cannot include all parents. Please click on the sign-up Genius link, below, to sign-up for a time-slot.

Please contact Mrs. Lamm, Mrs. Kothari, and/or Mrs. Burke, if you have any questions. Thank you so much for considering helping!

Holiday Event - December 11

Save the Date: Saturday, December 11

5:30-7:30 p.m.

Please Pray for Wonderful Weather

We are developing plans for a beautiful, outdoor holiday show, with designated time slots per grade. While this will decrease crowd size in the stage area, we hope to also include a community mingle area for those who long to reconnect with Galloway Friends, familiar and new. We hope you're as excited as we are!

More information coming soon!

Student Council Update

Student Council SOCTOBER was a huge success! Galloway families donated 381 pairs of new socks to be distributed to the homeless families and foster care children. Thank you to all who participated!

Be watching for information regarding our next opportunity to share with our community. We will be serving hospitalized children in our community for Christmas through Jack's Project. More information coming, soon!
