A few stories and upcoming ways to serve!
Stories of Service: The GreenHouse
The GreenHouse is a non-profit organization that has been serving its neighborhood for the past 12 years by offering after-school tutoring, mentoring, spiritual and leadership development for under-resourced youth. The GreenHouse began in 2001 in the heart of Kacie Stratton from Sanctuary Covenant Church as she was in a season of prayer for how God would have her engage in service to the community. She saw in the Sacramento Bee an article about a neighborhood located in the Gardenland Northgate area of South Natomas that had over 550 kids housed in three apartment complexes in a one block radius. This neighborhood also holds one of the highest concentrations of children in poverty and is one of the most diverse neighborhoods in the Sacramento region. read more
