Perot Museum Science Night
Super Hero Science Night
One: because of the exposure for our scholars
Two: the fact that Perot does almost everything
three: Perot is providing 9 exhibits for scholars to experience
four: It doesn't require teachers to create anything!
What is needed from US, is our presence. One of the request from Perot for these type of demonstrations is for us to provide the man power to supervise and assist with the exhibits and running and flow of the night. They have been meeting with Carlos regarding the night and all needs and after I meet with him this week,I will have more specifics for you all.
OUR CUSTODIAL STAFF ROCKS!
Instructional Focus
Are you noticing that scholars are missing "in the text" questions. These are very easy points that should not be lost. They are small corrections that if made correctly can be the difference between a scholar going from did not meets to approaching, approaching to meets, or meets to masters. Help scholars to ensure they don't miss easy questions that are right in the text. Ensure that you are making them show where they have found their answers.
Math Focus:
Zearn is finally coming! Be on the lookout for webinars and more information to get us started.
ESL
By now, you should have received an email from Ellevation regarding our “exited” First/Second year monitored scholars regarding their academic standing, if we have any failures, follow the protocols below, I will be having an LPAC by 10/24/19 to address these students.
If you have any monitored scholars (F/S) you will receive an email tomorrow from Ellevation to complete your reclassified monitoring forms. The goal of this form is to note if any of the monitored scholars are struggling without linguistic supports. To complete follow the steps below or refer to the one pager:
- You can click the link or log in
- Click “Monitoring” at the top.
- Click on the first scholar
- (MUST COMPLETE IF THE SCHOLAR HAS A 70%< IN YOUR CLASS) Note the supports you are providing and mark whether the failure is language-based or not.
- If the scholar is NOT struggling, they simply mark, “ Passing,…” and move on
