Mesa's November Neatness

Hello Mesa Families,

We hope all is well. November has been a very busy month with a variety of events taking place. This includes concerts to students having the opportunity to work on a car engine. Please take the time to look at the pictures below to get a sense of what is happening in the building.

Also, from our family to yours, Happy Thanksgiving!!! We are so thankful for our amazingly supportive families. We know that this has been a challenging time for everyone in our community. Please know that our staff is working extremely hard to support all students with learning the grade level content, but also in supporting them with the social and emotional piece.

As always, please reach out with any questions you may have.

A Beautiful Morning at Mesa!!!!!

$500 dollar grant

Mesa was awarded $500 from Westerra Credit Union to create relaxation spaces throughout the building where students can go to regulate with a trusted adult. These spaces will include beanbags, soft rugs, fidgets, breathing exercises and a visual timer so that a student can use the space, get regulated and return to class.

Family Consumer Science and their Snack Shack: Students made amazing snack for teachers!!! Thank you students and Ms. West!!!

A Neat Experience!!!

A partnership with a local automotive organization, led by Steve and Andrea Peterson, has resulted in an amazing experience for Mesa students. Over two days, students had the opportunity to explore automotive careers with a hands-on learning experience of deconstructing and rebuilding a motor. As part of Mesa's Innovation and Design classes, taught by Jason Kasper, students learned from master technicians in the field.
