Washington Character Parade - Thursday, October 31st
The parade is scheduled for Thursday, 10/31 at 2:30pm. Our 5th graders will lead all other students and staff on a neighborhood parade! Costumes are optional. If students are wearing costumes, please remember to wear sensible shoes since we will be walking around a couple of blocks, no weapons, and no masks that obscure visibility. Your child's classroom teacher will provide directions on whether students should come to school dressed or if they will change here at school prior to the parade.
Parents are welcome to attend and watch the parade. Parade Route: South on 68th Street to Lloyd. East on Lloyd Street to 67th Street. North on 67th Street to playground.
If you are plan on taking your child home after the parade, you must ENTER through 68th street doors and check him/her out of the office.
REMINDER--NO SCHOOL JK - 12th Grade -- Friday, November 1st (Professional Learning Day for Teachers)
Book Fair
This place is so much fun!!
This week I happened to catch Ms. Gordy's class working with Mrs. DeRango's first graders and Mrs. Anderson's fourth graders. They were working together on a design challenge in the Makerspace. They did a great job working together, problem solving and listening to one another throughout their time together. It was awesome!
Also, our fifth grade students have been working on a Timby Telecast that will be a different way to engage students in the morning beyond our traditional PA announcements. They created their first telecast and I can't wait for more. Thanks to our fifth grade teachers, Mrs. Kimmel and all of the students who worked on this telecast and many more to come! Finally, thanks to EFW for their funding of this awesome project!
Finally, our Senior Kindergarten students enjoyed Fancy Nancy Day on Thursday! Everyone looked very dapper and fancy, including our teachers!

Box Tops!
We will continue to accept physical box tops until there are no more, provided that they are still in date. You may already have noticed the changes on the packaging from products that you typically buy. Moving forward, please install and use the app. It is very easy to use, and we hope to still be able to count on this as a way to make money for our school. For that we will need your help! Please note below, from just one receipt, $2.90! Exponentially we can really make this work!
