GAFE will replace "My Documents" folders for storing/saving documents.
GAFE DIRECTIONS FOR STUDENTS
To get started on GAFE, please follow the directions below.
For students who have already logged in and created a password, they will need to start at step 3.
- Login in to a computer using the username provided by your teacher. If this is your first time to login to the MCS network, use the username as your password.
- Create a new password.
- Go to https://drive.google.com to login to your GAFE account. *If you are already logged into a personal gmail account, logout of that account and click on "add account."
- Login as follows:
password: use the password that you created in step 2.
STUDENTS: ENROLL IN RESET PASSWORD PROGRAM!
After students complete their initial login to the the network/computer, students need to enroll in the AdTools Password Reset Program. This will allow them to reset their own password. *This is an important step, especially if students are unable to logon to Google Drive.
Open your internet browser.
- Go to http://adtools/PasswordReset.
- Click “Enroll.”
- Type your username where indicated.
- Type your password where indicated.
- Select 3 security questions and answer all 3 where indicated.
- Click on “Next.”
- Click on “Finish.”
- You are now enrolled to change/reset your own password whenever necessary.
Uploading Files to Google Drive
To upload files using Google Drive:
- Go to drive.google.com.
- On the left, click New.
- Select File upload.
- Select the file you want to upload. To select multiple files, press Ctrl (PC) or Command (Mac) and click all the files to upload.
- You’ll see a box that shows the progress of your file upload. To open the file, click the filename. To close the box, click the X.
