Today's A Big Day
This Has Nothing to Do with the Super Bowl
It's Report Card Day!
Yes, your child's favorite day is upon us. The Parent Portal will reopen for you to view your child's report card or if you elected to receive a paper copy, it will be coming home today. Please do not hesitate to email me if you have any questions.
Jamestown Field Trip April 12th
We will be heading to Jamestown on Wednesday, April 12th. Information on the trip is coming home today in your child's binder. Look for the purple form. Please do not send any money at this time. If you would like to put your name in the hat to be a chaperone, please email me by the end of this week. Next Monday we will draw names for the three parents to accompany us to Jamestown. If chosen, you will receive free transportation and admission to the two areas we will be visiting. Any counseling you may need after spending 6 hours on a bus with 46 fourth graders will need to paid for with your own money.
What's Happening This Week
First of all, word study is due on Friday with it's corresponding quiz. We are also having a Jamestown Test on Friday. We are going full bore with our reading groups in historical fiction and we are learning how to write persuasively. Our major writing project for that unit is the letter your child will write to you trying to persuade you to do something. Whether or not they convince you has no impact on their grade. So, if you don't get them a puppy, they won't fail. (Trust me, someone tries that every year.)
