The Blueprint
Boonsboro Middle School Staff April 18th, 2019
Spring Data
It has been 2 days since our last cell phone violation (major improvement!).
Over 180 positive contacts have been made by our teachers.
Over 16 parent-teacher conferences (non-IEP/504) took place during the months of March & April.
74 students still have perfect attendance for the school year.
Mrs. Hancock has processed 37 referrals on her own since April 4th.
That being said, every single one of you has earned this break. Turn off and unwind. DO NOT DO SCHOOL WORK (including e-mails) OVER BREAK!
Class Coverage Volunteers
One of the suggestions for improving our class coverage process was to solicit volunteers who would be paid ($11.50) to cover a 45 minute period. If you would like to volunteer to be on this list, please e-mail me and CC Dawn. We will use these volunteers first before asking team leaders to provide coverage.
Board Meeting Success!
The recent closed session, business meeting, and public hearing held at our school went very well and that is due largely to our flexible staff (thanks for moving, Denise, Beth, and Jamie), our hardworking and skilled custodial staff (Diane, Harold, Dale, George, and Elmer), creative bulletin boarders (Sue & Jamie) and one extremely thorough principal's secretary (Dawn) who treated our guests like royalty! Thank you all!
June 13th/June 14th
June 13th will be a supervisor-led professional development day. This is an excellent opportunity to get a kickstart on next year's planning and many curriculum updates will be showcased during this day! ***We will have a staff Happy Hour at Benny's Pub (light appetizers provided) starting at 4PM***
June 14th will be your day here at BMS to clean up your classroom and check-out. The traditional luncheon will take place.
BTV Room
Please do not allow students to use the BTV room without your direct supervision. Several times this year, this room has been opened (using a key), used by students, and left with equipment out of place or even broken. Tonya and our students put a lot of effort into this production, so please be respectful of their space. If you use this room/equipment with your students, please make sure it is back in order and the door is locked before you leave.
All Call
Intercom phones have the ability to make all calls both inside and outside of the building. This feature could be extremely useful in an emergency, so be sure you know how to do it and that you include the directions in the emergency section of your sub plans.
#01 for inside of building
#02 for outside all call
#00 for inside and outside all call
To avoid student misuse, DO NOT POST THESE DIRECTIONS WHERE STUDENTS CAN SEE. :)
