Thank you to Assistant Principal Tegan Back for preparing today’s Mothers Day paraliturgy, and to our Student Leaders for a beautiful and reverent paraliturgy this morning. It was very special!
Class Masses
We are delighted to let our Holy Rosary Community know that class masses will resume and be held at the Church on Fridays. The Year 2 class mass will be our first one held next Friday 13th May. Holy Rosary swimming Carnival April 8
On April 8 the Holy Rosary Swimming Carnival was held at HBF stadium which was a great way to finish first term.
Although we had to run the carnival in a different way, it was still fantastic to see all of our students in the water creating some brilliant times with big smiles on their faces.
Sadly, due to the majority of schools in the association cancelling their own school carnivals in Term 1 the interschool swimming carnival on May 6 will not be able to proceed at this point in time.
I would like to thank all of the parents and staff that put their hands up to help and make the day a success, your help was very much appreciated.

Wow! On the weekend Frankie Julian in Year Four walked the full 35k for the ‘Walk for Women’s Cancer’ fundraiser – a massive effort! Congratulations Frankie!
LIBRARY
Welcome back to term 2! Huge congratulations to Irini in year 5 who brought her library books and bag back each week and won the term 1 library bag raffle. Congrats also to Cooper in year 3 for winning the Virtual Paper Plane Competition run by our year 6 Pastoral Care group. Finn in year 2 won 2nd prize.
The Scholastic Book Fair is planned for next week, week 3. It will run a little differently this year with no before or after school sales or parent purchasing. Students from PP – year 6 will visit the library on Wednesday to make a wish list and will return on Thursday during school hours to make their purchases. Both visits will be with their class. Friday lunchtime is when year 6 students will make their purchases and when I will assist any other students who were away etc.
Students have come home with a brochure in their library bags this week which has an online payment form on the reverse, which will need to be completed fully at home online and then exchanged in the library for the book on Thursday. I will be accepting cash or online payments only.
I will post a virtual tour of the Book Fair and a reminder on Seesaw on Wednesday. Please feel free to email me if you have any concerns or questions. The Book Fair will close at 3pm Friday. Thank you supporting the Book Fair and in turn providing many new books and fundraising for our library.
Have a lovely weekend,
Mrs Butson
