Principal's Message
I know it is not always a popular opinion, but I can certainly say that I miss the snow! However, as we move into, what is usually, the coldest month, it is nice to look forward to the opportunities to "warm up" with others. This leads me to remind our community of our Lip Sync which will take place on the 9th and 10th of February, our long weekend in the middle of the month, which offers the opportunity to recharge in the midst of the winter, and our Read-A-Thon/ Read Across America Week which begins at the end of February. Lots of exciting things going on at Central! Looking forward to all of the fun and learning! Also, congratulations to our first grade who won the Penny War!
Please remind your friends and families that our Kindergarten Registration begins on February 1st. Please see the district website for more information.

Research βοΈ
The website Plant Love Grow offers free support tools to parents and educators on a variety of topics to help children develop their minds and hearts. Their goal is to provide resources that assist caregivers in guiding, nurturing, and inspiring children to be their best selves. The free printables offered here could be utilized as a wonderful avenue to begin valuable conversations, facilitate problem-solving, and help grow your child's coping skills "toolbox". They are constantly adding new activities and strategies, so I encourage you to join their mailing list. Click the picture to the right to see their website.

Meet Ms. Van Pell π
Ms. Van Pell has been a teacher since 2000. Ms. Van Pell was inspired to teacher as she would help her younger brother learn some very advanced subjects, like multiplication at 4! After a stint in the recreation department helping students learn how to play sports, she knew she wanted to teach elementary. Her favorite part about teaching is helping students build background knowledge so that they can be open to learning. She loved a variety of superheroes growing up from Wonder Woman to Batman and Robin and always wanted to be Bat Girl when watching them. She is an avid singer and enjoys sailing as well. She wants all her students to know that if they keep working hard they will always be rewarded.
