Weekly Dolphin Blast

Week of October 16, 2022

Happy Sunday Dolphin Families!

I hope that this week's newsletter finds you all doing well and enjoying the weekend. Last week was a busy week on campus with Parent Teacher Conferences taking place throughout the week. On behalf of our entire staff, we would like to thank our LCM Parents/Guardians for attending your child's conference. We hope that following your child's conference you were able to take some time with your student to celebrate their strengths and to discuss goals for the remainder of the year. We appreciate your partnership as we work together to support your child's success.

This week will be one filled with excitement as the beloved LCM Carnival is this coming weekend! We hope that every family will be able to squeeze in a visit to the Carnival this weekend as our students and families always have a wonderful time. The Carnival would not be possible without the many helping hands working tirelessly behind the scenes to make this event come to life. I'd like to give a huge shoutout to our Active Fundraising Chairs on the PTO as well as to all of the other volunteers for making this traditional LCM event happen. We appreciate you!

With Dolphin pride,

Mrs. Bedard

San Diego Padres Spirit Day - Tuesday, October 18th!

In support of our San Diego Padres advancing to the National League Championship Series, this Tuesday, 10/18, will be Padres Spirit Day! Our entire LCM community (i.e. students, staff, and families) are encouraged to wear Padres gear in support of our hometown team!

Hurricane Ian Service Project - Thank you!

The LCM Student Council would like to thank our LCM Community for their support and participation in last week's coin drive to support victims of Hurricane Ian. In total, our school raised $1,380! It is service projects like these that teach our students the importance of helping others and creating connections with those outside of our LCM community!

National Red Ribbon Week

Red Ribbon Week is coming up and this year's theme is, "Celebrate Life, Live Drug Free." Our Student Council has been busy planning the first spirit week of the year to align with Red Ribbon Week. All students are encouraged to dress up for each day's Red Ribbon Week aligned theme.

  • Oct 24: Fight Drugs / Super Hero Day
  • Oct 25: Sock it to Drugs / Crazy Socks Day
  • Oct 26: Drugs are Crazy / Crazy Hair Day
  • Oct 27: Pair Up Against Drugs / Classroom Twin Day: Each class will pick a color and everyone in the class wears that color.
  • Oct 28: Say BOO to Drugs / Orange and Black Day

**Please note that students will be able to dress up in their Halloween costumes on 10/31.

Unhappy with your child's school pictures? Have questions?

If you are unhappy with your child's school pictures, don't worry! Students may retake their picture on the make up day on November 8th. Parents can request a retake picture on the order website.

If you have additional questions, you can contact Jostens customer support at 1-877-515-1447 and they will be happy to answer your questions.

PE Reminder from Coach Chindlund

Please remind your student that proper footwear should be worn on their PE days. We have a growing number of students wearing footwear that is not appropriate (i.e. Crocs) for physical education. We appreciate your support!
