AVID Announcement:
Ramsey's AVID students are invited to join a "Career Day" event at a local law firm featuring a free lunch and guest speakers in the legal field!
This will take place virtually on Friday, January 22 from 9:30 am to 10:30 am. Students who register and attend will get a $10 Chipotle gift card provided by the firm.
We will hear from a firm attorney, paralegal, accounting manager, and video producer; we will also have an opportunity to ask questions. This is an optional opportunity for students in the AVID Elective.
Registration is required and spots may fill up! If you are interested in attending, please email Ms. Hart at melissa.hart@stpaul.k12.mn.us and she will send the BestPrep invitation/registration link to your email.

Ramsey Resiliency:
โWalk as if you are kissing the earth with your feet.โ
โThich Nhat Hanh
It seems I am seeing more people outside, engaging in activities, some new and some old. We can all use fresh air and an opportunity to clear the cobwebs, right?!
Meditative walking is not a new idea, but honing it as a skill might be!
Tips: Find a location where you can peacefully walk back and forth for 10-15 paces, indoor or out, with out interruption. Walk, then pause and breath. Repeat. Do it again, this time focusing your attention on something that takes you out of your head- your breathing, your legs moving, birds chirping. Do it as long as you like. It's ok if your mind wanders- just come back to your focus. After your walk reflect on what you noticed, sensations, thoughts, feelings.
What would happen if you did this more than once a week?
